Privacy policy
What Westview Studio collects when you use this site or book a shoot, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who we are
Westview Studio is a photography business operating in Costa Rica, run by Brad Dean. For anything in this policy, reach us at brad@westviewstudio.com or on WhatsApp at +506 8961-8564.
What we collect
Only two things, and only one of them identifies you:
- What you send us. If you message us by WhatsApp or email, or use the pricing calculator's message button, we receive whatever you write — typically your name, contact details, and what you'd like photographed.
- Anonymous usage statistics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit and roughly where they come from. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you.
We do not sell data, we do not run advertising trackers, and there is no account to create on this site.
The pricing calculator
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your selections are not sent to us or stored anywhere unless you choose to press the message button, which opens WhatsApp or your email client with a summary you can edit or discard.
Cookies
This site sets cookies for two purposes: keeping the site working correctly (including caching and security), and Google Analytics. You can refuse or clear cookies in your browser at any time; the site will still work.
Client photographs and galleries
Photographs from a commissioned shoot are delivered through a private link. We keep the originals so we can re-supply files if you lose them, and so we can honour licence requests later. If you would prefer we delete your images after delivery, tell us and we will.
Whether we may show your photographs in our portfolio is covered in the terms of service, and you can opt out.
How long we keep things
- Enquiries and correspondence: kept while there is an active or likely booking, then removed periodically.
- Client photographs and delivery records: kept indefinitely unless you ask us to delete them, so that licensing and re-supply remain possible.
- Analytics: retained on Google's default schedule.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email brad@westviewstudio.com and we will respond. If your request concerns photographs that are subject to a licence or a signed release, we will explain what we can and cannot remove and why.
Third parties
The services that can see data through this site are our web host, Google Analytics, and — only if you choose to contact us that way — WhatsApp. Each operates under its own privacy terms.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
